This alternative preparation program is tailored to meet the staffing needs of school districts for effective arts educators while providing the convenience necessary to attract experienced, diverse individuals to the classroom.
The Art of Teaching leads to teacher certification, but not a degree. Participants will be able to begin teaching, gaining valuable hands-on experience coupled with the classroom learning supported by theories and pedagogy. With the program completion being two years or less, it is very intense and rigorous, and yet rewarding, meaningful, and engaging.
